Teaching: Community Health Nursing, Research, and Health Assessment.
Research: Health and Wellness of Immigrants and Refugees which include Immigrants and Refugees' mental healthcare, immigrant women's breast cancer and cervical cancer screening practices, and HIV/AIDS. In 2005 received the Alberta Centennial Medallion Award in recognition for the work with immigrant populations.
Research Interests: Cultural Health and Healthcare; Health promotion and disease prevention; Mental Healthcare; Women's Health; English as Additional Language Students' Support Networks.
